Moin,
you are talking about DSL, Cable or mobile connection?
2020? When did the firm allegedly request the IP from o2? Telefonica only stores IP addresses for 7 days after disconnection.
DSL , in march 2020 they said now my question is how much is the error margin that the ip was realy on my name when it was assigned.
that was not the answer to my question.i said only O2 agent must answer.the question was what is accuracy probability of ip ? error percentage.

Nobody from o2 can tell you that! How would this information help you? The accuracy of this data should of course be 100% but it probably isn’t as clearly mistakes can be made, and If you believe that to be true in your case then you should contact a lawyer who specialises in this area of law to represent your interests. He / she will know how best to challenge allegations of this kind and identify errors.
can anyone from O2 agent please answer my thread about the accuracy of ip please.

@o2_Manuela @o2_Stefan please reply my thread.
With DSL you have a unique IP. DSL is not using CGN.
So the error rate is very low. Otherwise "data retention aka Vorratsdatenspeicherung" would make no sense.
If you get the letter in 2024 i would give you the advice to ask a lawyer For assist!
my ip auto changes every 24 hour i checked that,i check my ip everyday.can any O2 agent please reply ?

A change every 24h is normal. But with DSL you will not get a CGN Address, CGN is sometimes used outside of Germany…. But wait for a O2 Mod.
Please be patient. A moderator will reply to you (but almost certainly won't be able to give you the information you want), but this can take several days or even a couple of weeks. If you can't wait you will have to contact customer services.
@schluej There is no Vorratsdatenspeicherung in Germany, which is why it would be important to compare the dates on documents as the IP is only stored by providers for a short period.
@bs0 ja.

how you know 33% failerrate ?
That was just an example to illustrate how a high errror rate would make little sense as nobody would be able to rely on the data.
When exactly was the claim filed against you? This is more relevant than the error rate.

Hello @kayawish24, welcome back to our o2 community :-)
First of all, IANAL. We are not able to provide any legal advice in our community.
Also, we are not able to provide any information regarding the margin of error for an answer that results from a legal inquiry.
The one recommendation I have is to lawyer up and let a legal professional handle this issue.
Sorry that we can’t provide further assistance :-/
Regards,
Lars
