I will be cancelling my contract, as I have moved abroad.

I still have several questions that the website and employees have not been able answer in a very concrete way.

And because my friend travels a lot I am trying to plan around her travels and ensure that my router will be sent back in a timely way...

 

Once I email my cancellation, when do they issue a status of deactivation? Would this be 30 days after my initial email request? 

I also understand that once deactivation status is issued that they then want the router to be sent back “early” or else I would incur additional charges for sending in the router too late. I asked the person, “What is early? Within 7 days? Within 14 days?”.

She kept reiterating “early”.

 

So does anyone know…..How many days do I have in order to send back the router without getting additional charges?  

 

I am just trying to understand the interesting rules of O2 and avoid any unnecessary charges.

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

The contract cancellation in case of you moving abroad would happen on the next possible date from when you send in your request. This usually means that the date itself will be two to three weeks in the future.

For the hardware the due date would be one month after the confirmed deactivation date of the contract. Within that month the hardware should be returned to us.
