For contracts concluded online or by telephone, there is a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days from the date of receipt of the order confirmation. With the order confirmation you should have received the cancellation policy with the sample cancellation form, which states how you can withdraw the contract.
If the contract was concluded in a local shop, there is no legal right of withdrawal.
Hi,
I went to the local shop which is a distributer of O2. I made the contract there. Like 2 days ago, I went to the shop to cancel it, but they were semi-closed. I had to call them and talk to them. They said it is not possible to cancel contracts from the shops, but they are okay with it. Also, I don’t have that kind of document. I talked with a lady on the phone to confirm my application on Monday.
So… right now, I am confused. Is there any way to contact and tell about my situation… because like if it’s not the virus, then I’ll be here till end of July… but now I will have to go back to my country… god knows when.
Thanks for the help btw.
If the shop agreed to cancel your contract out of goodwill, we should assume that the shop personnel did what is nessary.
Maybe you wait some days for an o2 moderator who might check this for you.
Hi @Oezaltun,
I regret that the corona-virus is confusing your stay in Germany.
I just have sent a private message via @o2_Support to you. Please reply there to my request.
Thanks a lot.
Loving greetings,
Tobias
Dear @Oezaltun ,
so far, I have not received any feedback from you on my private message, has your concern been resolved?
Kind regards,
Andrea
Hi Andrea,
I believe that I canceled my contract since I was called by O2 and after a bit talk I was told that my contract is canceled.
However, I still have the DSL and I don’t know what to do with that. Also, Tobias told me that I should send a letter about my issue but I don’t think it is necessary anymore after the phone talk.
So… what should I do with the DSL?
So sorry to reply you late…
Thanks for all the help! You’re really the best on online helping :)
Sincerely,
Mine.
