Good Afternoon, 

I managed to connect my different router, a “TP-LINK AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Router, Model A5” to the Phone landline where the Telekom Technician told me to connect the Internet and where other O2 videos says that I should connect, and there seems to work.

 

This Router is not the one that I ordered from O2, but another one that I had of my own.

 

The problem is, once I type the password for the Internet that is on this Router on my device, it says that there is no Internet Connection, when all the lights on my router show that there is internet connection.

 

The Technician from Telekom already came to do the installation so that I can connect my Router, but my O2 Router has not arrived yet and I need acces now, so I connected another Router

 

  • How can I activate the Internet so that I can start navigating?
  • Is there another process that perhaps I am missing?

Good Afternoon, 

On the 02.10.2024, I ordered an Internet Plan, as well as a router “AVM FRITZ!BOX 7530 AX” to get Internet in the House.

I did not receive the notification that the Router was not delivered to my home and that it was sent back.

The TELEKOM technician already came today, and I asked him to the the Installation of the Internet with another Personal Router that I have (not from O2), but he told me that I another guy from O2 should come, or that I should the installation of the Internet myself with the O2 Router (that I dont have)

 

-Will I get a new Router delivered? Should I go to the package Center to try and get it back?

-Is another technician (Directly from O2) coming to my house to do an installation of the Router and the Internet?

-Is it possible to Install the Internet without the Router Fritzbox that I ordered, using another Router?

 

Please let me know who can help me with this situation or what could I do, given that when I try to use the Hotline, I can not get in contact with a Person who can help me.

DHL will return a parcel to the sender for the following reasons: 
The parcel is undeliverable because the address given by the customer is incorrect or the customer's name is not on the doorbell and letterbox.
If nobody opens the door when delivery is attempted, the parcel will be held at the nearest DHL branch for collection by the customer for 7 working days. If the customer does not collect the parcel within this period, it will also be returned to the sender. 

The customer is responsible for installing and setting up the router. Nobody will come and do this for you.
If you have your own router that corresponds to the interface description, you can put it into operation yourself. If necessary, read the manual for your device.

What is the specific model number of the device?
From the name, I would assume that it is not a DSL router (i.e. a router with an integrated DSL modem). A DSL connection cannot be used without a DSL modem. 


The TP link has no modem, useless.

No way. Wrong device.

  • Is there another process that perhaps I am missing?

Buy a FRITZ!Box 7520 (used from ebay) cost should not be higher the 60€

I have just checked the whereabouts of your o2 router. It was returned to us as your name could not be found at the adress provided.

Have you made sure that your name is on the doorbell? Then we will arrange for the Fritzbox to be sent to you again.

In the meantime, I fear that blablup and schluej are right, and your other router can not be used as a single dsl router unfortunately.

Do you have any other possibilities?

Now my name is outside the Adress so that there is no problem in delivering again the package.

  • Would it be possible to send again as soon as possible the new router from O2 to the adress that I have registered?
  • When could I receive the Router?

The router is returned to us directly if the state is delivery impossible. There is no chance to ask in a DHL store near by if the parcel is stored there. 

If you decide to use your own device you can find the data for installation in “Meino2.” Check this: Chttps://g.o2.de/bzw] Please make sure that the rental fee for the router is cancelled if you don’t want to re-order the Fritzbox once again.

your new router is now being shipped and will be delivered to you by DHL in the next few days. You will receive information about DHL shipment tracking by email.
