IMPORTANT and URGENT: INTERNET NOT WORKING/CONFIGURING
Hi,
my DSL activated yesterday. I have an O2 WiFi Router 6641.
All of the lights on top are green. but when I connect the LAN cable to my notebook, it takes me to a webpage, showing no internet (please see screenshot attached).
When i go to the IP seting it says online status is “Verbunden”. I have tried plugging in the login ID and password provided to me in my contract, but I am not exactly sure where to plug it in (IF NEEDED)?
I have called O2 several times since two days and recieved pathetic service, as two of the last technical-support folks hung-up on me for not speaking in English.
I will appreciate if O2/anyone can help me out. I need the Internet.

1. You rent the homebox direct from O2 or buy it from e.g. eBay?
2. Call O2 and tell them “Ich wurde Verschaltet, ich bekomme eine Meldung von der Telekom im Browser” because U get a landing page from “Telekom”.
Try to find some one how could speak german!
Hi, I got the device from my girl friend whose O2 account was working fine, but she did not need it anymore…...
Please see below, it says it is connected.
What to do? I have tried different permutations and combinations but no breakthrough. I am so frustrated, O2 team keep on hanging up on me (three times since 2 hours).
Even all the lights on the WLAN are green.

so you have 2 problem.
You land lane is connected wrong. And you have to report it to O2. As fast as possible!

A homebox will only work for the land lane it has been rent for. Buy a fritzbox 7530 from avm or with less money you could buy a 7520 from eBay. The homebox should find the way back to you girlfriend. She should send it back to O2. For you the homebox is worthless.
Hi, what do you mean exactly by the land lane is connected wrong?
As per the O2 website it says, FRITZBOX 7490 or 7590 can only be installed for o2 connection, what to do? The O2 team will visit my place on Monday now. What do you advise I do beforehand? Do you think buying the correct FRITZBOX will resolve my issues nonetheless? If so I will get 7490 from EBAY.

Your are mixing you problems!!
Again:
Problem 1: The technician has made a mistake. Instead of connecting you to O2 he connected you to Telekom!
Problem 2: The HomeBox is branded to the land lane the is renting the Box.
Yes you can buy a 7490 too but the maximum speed for VDSL ist 100MBit. The 75x0 is able to run at up to 250 MBit.

No! This are the to FRITZ!box Router you can rent from O2!!!
Any FRITZ!Box 75x0 router from AVM/ will work!
If you are less on money. Buy a 7520 from eBay.
But not more the 60€, otherwise buy a 7530 new! 40€ more and with warranty!
The change to FRITZ!Box will not solve Problem 1!
But after fixing Problem 1 you will get Problem 2.
And than problem 2 will disable your internet.
So if you get I visit pleas tell the guy.

SO, I talked to the technical staff, yesterday, for about 30 minutes (found an angel who spoke in English), and they told me to do many things. the FIRST thing I mentioned to him was that I receive a “landing page” from Telekom.
But, the issue is still there, maybe that is why he requested a technical team visit to my place??
Regarding problem number 2:
I only need up to 100mbps; what would be the cheapest router that I may buy OTHER than 7490?
Sorry for the persistence, but are you 100% sure that the O2 homeobox I have won’t work after the Telekom/O2 issue is resolved…

Part 1. Yes has to fix by a guy. Part 2. Cheap 7520 from eBay. But not more than 60€ ( I would say). Or a 7530 about 100€ but new and warranty! On Amazon the 7530 is a little bit expensive!
