I have already sent the DSL router and termination notice as well as city deregistration document to O2.
I left germany on 18 oct 2020 , still i received an email today saying i will be charged for 20 days upto 3rd november 2020.
Is there any way to tell them not to deduct any charges now after 18 oct 2020?
Hello @Oodslusr and welcome to our o2 community :-)
I had a look into this and can confirm the information you already recieved from us. You used a Flex varoiant of our tariffs that can be canceled with 4 weeks notice to the months end. So the 20 days until the contract is finally terminated is the earliest possible date.

Lars
Hi lars,
As i have already left germany on 18th october 2020 and already provided the city deregistration / abmeldung , i wish to use außerordentliche Kündigung
to waive off any charges to be applied to my account after 18th october 2020.

Ashish Shah
Hi lars,
Also i had sent the notification via phone of closure of o2 connection on september 30 2020 already
So it should be considered and i shouldnt be charged after 18 oct 2020.

Hello @Oodslusr,
als already stated, the DSL contracteds will be terminated to the earliest possible date. Just moving to a locatoin that we do not offer DSL connections does not autimatically void any charges from that point on. In such a case thge law offers the customer to cancel with a three months notice after providing written prove that the address change is valid if the contract would last for 24 months.
As already stated the contract will be terminated today.
regards,
Lars
Hi Lars,
My contract was monthly cancellable contract so as part the terms I have given notice in previous month (30 September 2020) by calling customer care and also sending emails.
As per German law, I'm entitled to cancel contract from the date of leaving country außerordentliche Kündigung once I leave country by submitting stadt Abmeldung and I shouldn't be charged for any amount after my move out date from Germany and any additional amount paid shall be refunded by o2.
Can you please consider this law and cancel my contract from 18 October 2020 & refund the amount paid after 18 October?
Regards,
Ashish Shah
Hello @Oodslusr,
as already stated the law you are refering to would allow a provider to bill up to three months after all necessary documents have been sent in. Your contract was canceled to the earliest possible date already.

Lars
