I've been charged Extra for the VAT once I got a phone contract

I already had an O2 DSL connection, which I still use.

Every month I was paying the same fee, as expected, all good, everybody happy.

Now, I decide to buy a Contract Phone through Check24 & SparHandy, which is an offer of a Package from O2.

I get the Phone, I get the number. Everything is perfect.

I pay the extra fee for the Phone, the connection fee, that’s all fine still because it was written so.

But now, when I get charged from O2, combining the 2 Packages I now have with them, I got charged The Usual Price of DSL + The written Price of my Phone Contract + An Additional 19% of a VAT which increased the price I’m paying for 30 more Euros per month.

In Check24, it was written all the Prices are included with VAT. In O2 Packages it not written that any price doesn’t include VAT.

So, why the hell am I charged extra for VAT? Now it costs even more expensive as it combines the DSL + Phone, and 19% of those is even higher.

I’m a new Phone customer and so far I’m really really dissapointed with the invoice. And the worst is, I can’t easily contact O2 to discuss my issue, and I need to look in the Contact form so I’m able to find that I can post a thread in this forum.

What can I do to normalize my payment, so you can’t rip me off just like that?

Ardian.

o2 prices also include VAT but on the invoice the individual items are shown without VAT. That is perfectly normal.

If there is a discrepancy between what you are being charged in total and what you expected to be charged as per your contract agreement, you will need to contact the reseller. The reason is not that o2 is adding VAT to what are already  gross prices.

Seems that O2 charged 39,99 for Connection Fee for the first time. That’s what Check24 told me.

I’ll wait and see what happens Next Month.

Thanks for the reply
