I have a router with ADSL input

Hi there,

I want to use my TP-Link router instead of the O2 router as it’s much more powerful. The TP-Link router unfortunately only has an ADSL input whereas the O2 router has a DSL/Ethernet input.

I was able to use the TP-Link router before when there was the Siemens adapter but we havent used that since we got the new O2 router a few years ago.

Any ideas how I can use my TP-Link router with the ADSL input?

Thanks!

@ciarangaffey Unfortunately if you really want to use this TP-Link model you must use the TP Link as a DHCP Client.

If you want to use the TP lInk please connect WAN (Lan 4) with a patch cable to the o2 homebox.

Than try this configuration in the TP-Link router.

Did you use land line over your o2 dsl contract? If you use phone, I recommend only one VDSL SIP Router with english user interface.

Interesting, it seems this time when i plug in the ethernet cable into the TP-Link it works automatically as a router for the O2 box. It didn’t before.

This should help with the connection in rooms far away from the O2 box
