Hi

I got scammed by a Telekom guy into changing the contract from o2. I have given out all my information and I have signed something as well. I am sorry but they lied about alot of things and due to the language contraints, I didn’t know what is EXACTLY happening. I will go to police tomorrow and I file a complaint but please o2 help me here and DONOT change or terminate my contract. Please reach out to me if possible.

Moin Moin,

contact by phone or in a shop?

Moin Moin,

contact by phone or in a shop?

i can come to o2 office if needed.

my concern is I don’t want to change my contract so I need help in order to make sure that my contract remains as is and I am also concerned about the information I have handed over to the Telekom guys

Hello @Mahnoor Shahid,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

It is really very important where you signed the contract with the new provider. If you signed it over the phone or at the door, you can simply revoke the new contract there within two weeks.

If you signed the contract in a shop, it is unfortunately difficult, as the contract can only be terminated if the shop agrees.

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do in your case, as we are not allowed to cancel a contract with another provider. So you definitely have to clarify this with the new provider.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Giulia

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

The guy came into my apartment because he said that he wanted to check my internet connection. While filling out the form on his tablet, he asked for my phone and said he would respond to the call, and I thought it was a bit unethical, but he said because I don’t know German, he will make the call on my behalf. He talked to someone in German and asked me to sign something on the tablet. I know I acted stupidly, and I will be 100% cautious next time. But I couldn’t understand the situation because it was in German.

Do you think I should go to Telekom office report this?

Where and what exactly I can do please help?

I didn’t go anywhere or to any shop, and this incident happened a few hours ago. I am sorry; it was quite a persuading and forceful situation.

@Mahnoor Shahid

please no full quotes. If you want to address someone, use the @ sign and the username.

@schluej @o2_Giulia

They haven't given me a customer or contract number yet, but they mentioned that I would receive both via email as the next step. My main worry is that by the time I manage to cancel with Telekom, they might have already canceled my contract with o2.

Hello @Mahnoor Shahid,

that's good, then you can cancel the new contract within 14 days. Your new provider could only cancel the contract with us at the end of the contract, which would be on August 23, 2025. So nothing can happen to you for now.

As a rule, you can also revoke your new contract online, there is certainly a contact form for this on the homepage. Please look for “Vertrag widerrufen” on their homepage. You don't have to go to a shop specifically for this.

Best regards

Giulia

This is the page from Telekom to cancel (Widerrufen) you contract.

https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/vertrag-rechnung/vertrag/bestellung/widerruf?samChecked=true

Please don’t call! Use the Email Address!

@Mahnoor Shahid

did you succeed by revoking the contract or is there anything left to be discussed?

Greetings

Manga
