Homespot wireless connections failing, lack of internet connection

I have constant issues with my homepot connection.

  1. The wireless is connected but with no internet connection. I can log into the homespot itself and confirm there is an internet connection active.
  2. Wireless device connections drop frequently

I have tried a second o2 sim with the same results.

I have tried switching to 4g only

Reboot after reboot

Software says it is up to date.

What else can I do??

I have spent far too mush time on O2 helplines for the past 3 months. 😡

Last week I was promised a replacement device. I chase the device this week and I am told I would need to send it for repair instead.

The device is, to me, clearly defective, why can it not be replaced?

The level of service so far is terrible. Plus I am only using this device because I was waiting for normal DSL to be conncted by O2 for over 3 months.

Hello @SteveC,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with your HomeSpot. Have you tried putting the simcard that you’ve been using in your homespot in a normal smartphone? Are you getting a connection in that case? If the unit that you have is the HomeSpot 5G then you can only sent in for repair, replacements are only for rental models, which the HomeSpot 5G is not a part of.

Kind regards, Sven
