I took an o2 contract in May of last year and it was for 2 years. It’s a combiplan with sim and homespot. Right now I am moving to a new apartment and o2 is barely available there. I have already raised cancellation request siting extra ordinary reason for my homespot connection. However, the profile still shows 330 days left for contract termination. The street I am moving to is not even available in the availability check. I am fine with the sim having less connection since I plan to have a new wifi connection in the home.  I had mentioned everything already as reason for leaving. What more should I do to get early cancellation for the homespot? I won’t be using it from next month and I don’t want to pay for another year. Can someone help.

Hello @LeavingAJ ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

How long ago did you ask to be released from the contract? In the case of an extraordinary termination the processing can take some time. You should also receive a separate confirmation or denial in this case. You might have also gotten a document asking you to send in additional information about your move like the deregistration at your old address and the registration at your new one, as these documents are needed for the process of extraordinary termination of a contract.

Kind regards, Sven

I got the confirmation on June 9. I haven't received any mail further about further evidences. O had actually already submitted proof of address change in cancellation request.

Hello @LeavingAJ ,

that’s interesting, because now that I’ve checked your contract within the system, the last thing here is that the responsible department asked for the documents concerning the deregistration and registration so that they could further process your termination request.
You can use the online contract form to send these in.

Kind regards, Sven

Thank you. I don’t have an appoinment for the registration yet. Is the landlord’s confirmation enough? I would also like to know how these would affect my plan for sim since it’s a combiplan.

Hello @LeavingAJ ,

I think for now that can help and the really important document is the deregistration for your current address. Concerning your mobile contract, I checked and that one will not be affected by the termination of the HomeSpot contract.

Kind regards, Sven
