Hello,

I am trying to setup my Frtizbox 6660 via cable but nothing is happening. The router just remains with the “power” light in green. Nothing else happens. I have followed the instructions via the brochure and a video.

I can’t log in to the Fritzbox user interface either. It tells me my password is wrong, when it DEFINITELY isn’t. I have tried several times.

I’ve tried unplugging the router. I have tried speaking to Customer Service but all technicians only speak German (my German is not good) so I can’t get a technician to my apartment.

Has anyone else had similar problems? I’m getting very frustrated.

The FRITZ!Box is rent from O2?

The Passwort is on the back side below „Fritz!box-Kennwort“.

Try a Werksreset https://avm.de/service/wissensdatenbank/dok/FRITZ-Box-6660-Cable/3_Werkseinstellungen-der-FRITZ-Box-laden/

And that try to login with password.

If you are using a mobil phone to setup the fritzbox, the phone like to drop a Wi-Fi connection if no internet is available!

Yes the box is from O2.

Nope. That doesn’t work either. I’ve tried the CM Mac and FRITZ!BOX-Kennwort.


Try an werksrest. The Fritz!box-Kennwort ist only for login to the configuration page of the FRITZ!Box.

And zou have to change it after the first login! Remember the password you type in!

The CM-MAC is only to authenticate the router to the network.  


Via the WLAN? But I still need to login. What can I do if the password isn’t working? 


After the Werksreset 

  1. Trenne die Fritzbox für mindestens eine Minute vom Stromnetz.
  2. Klicke auf den Link Kennwort vergessen.
  3. Klicke auf die Schaltfläche Werkseinstellungen wiederherstellen.
  4. Hier kannst du ein neues Passwort vergeben

 

  1. Disconnect the Fritzbox from the power supply for at least one minute.
  2. Click the Forgot Password link.
  3. Click on the Restore factory settings button.
  4. Here you can assign a new password

the FRITZ!Box should accept Fritz!box-Kennwort for login on the configuration page.

Than you have to enter a new Passwort for the configuration page.

Nicer is a lan connection. Do you get the FRITZ!Box configuration page?


Nope. That doesn’t work either. I can’t even reset the password. I get this msg

The 2nd screen is after the factory default reset?

Than enter the password on the backside on you FRITZ!Box (fritzbox-Kennwort)


The second screen is the first screen I see when I try to login. I can’t pass this screen so can’t do any kind of reset. I’ve tried both passwords. Nothing.


Disconnect the FRITZ!Box from power. Min. 1 Minutes.

Then open the configuration screen.

Than click on „Kennwort vergessen“ now you can reset the FRITZ!Box 


I can’t reset the password because when I try I see this message. 

 


Disconnect the FRITZ!Box for at least 1 Minutes from power. Then try the Passwort reset again.

Don‘t wait to login for religion after power on!


I have tried this several times. It is not working.


Do you have an analog Phone?

than type in #991*15901590* start call wait 3 sec. And end the call.

You remove the power plug from the FRITZ!Box???

You have to connect to a LAN Port… WLAN will not work!

The English-speaking Support does not offer technical support to anyone. Technical support is offered ONLY in German (Who does that in this modern age!😎). I had a frustrating experience trying to get the support guy to speak some English
