Hi there, is this forum also a service help centre? I don’t want information, I want help. I can see questions but I can also see where O2 staff have solved problems. I hope mine can be solved. It is a pretty standard issue, but I cannot find how to do this through the MeinO2 account and I cant get through all the fast German speech options when I call, so fingers crossed someone can help me here.

I have DSL. It was cheaper and then the price went up by €15. I am staying in my flat and I want the DSL price to be less than €35! So I guess I need to renew the contact.

I hope a member of staff can help.

With thanks,

Nerys Joseph

@Nezza what tariff you have?

Hello @Nezza and welcome to our o2 community :-)

If you want a contract extension I am sure we will find an offer for you :-)

Did you already have a look at the internet availability check what speed is possible at your address? Which tariff are you interested in? Do you already have a router from us and do you want to kep on sing it or would you like to rent a new one?

Regards,

Lars

Hi @Nezza

nice that you are interested in an offer for a DSL-extension.

Until now, we did not receive any response to the questions my colleague @o2_Lars asked.

Without this information, we are not able to send you an offer.

Additionally, I will write a private message via @o2_VVL to you as we need also further information concerning your DSL-contract. Please reply there to my request.

I hope that we will soon hear something from you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi there, sorry this is the first notification I have about anyone replying. Can we continue by email?

Hi @Nezza

you already received this message 9 days ago.

I have also sent another message to you now at @o2_VVL. Just reply there.

Thanks.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Also how do I know that when I give my name, DOB, PIN, landline in a chat toTobias that it is secure?

@Nezza If you send your private data over private message (pm) over the community forum to the o2_vvl or every Moderator with o2_ (official employees from o2) in his name this is to 100% secure.

If you send your data to me, this is absolutely unsecure, because I am here as a private person. 😉

I see. It is so unbelievably strange to be in a country where I cannot call my own service providers. Finding this forum was a godsend. You asked me before which tarrif I have. I had a 20€ pcm for a year, and then noticed my bills shot up, so I think I am on a rolling contract now? its now €32.

@Nezza I strongly prefer tariff change for english speaking customer over the forum until o2 have an official english speaking hotline. German can call the normal hotline. Hope something will change this year.

Hi @Nezza

thanks for your information at @o2_VVL and thanks for the nice words:

...Finding this forum was a godsend….

I just had a look what happened to your discount. Unfortunately, you had only the discount for 12 months. At the moment, only your combination-benefit is included.

Unfortunately, you are only able to order a tariff-change without any further discounts. Please wait until 16th February 2021. Then, I am able to make a nice offer for you with an extension for further 24 months.

Just feel free to come back to our “godsent” English community from 16th February onward.  Thanks a lot for your patience.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

It’s 16th February, so I am back to hear about some better deals for my DSL! I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks!

Any news?

Why does no one reply? 🤷‍♀️
So confused.

Hi O2,

I would like an offer on a better DSL deal please. A staff member told me to come back to this forum after Feb 16th.

Please assist.
Thank you,

edit o2_Tobias: moved from this thread DSL offer to here because of double-posting

Hi @Nezza

nice that you come back here to our English Community. Sorry for the delay.

But with each message you land again at the end of the waiting queue.

Would you like to stay with the tariff “o2 My Home M” or would you like to upgrade to “o2 My Home L”?

Would you like to keep your Homebox or would you like to change to the Fritzbox 7590 with a monthly rent of 5,99 €?

Would you like to continue with “o2 TV S”?

As soon as I have all the answers, you will receive an offer by e-mail.

I look forward to your next message.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi Tobias, thanks for your message. I think the tariff I am on is big enough. Looking at my usage is ‘M’ enough for me? I just use the internet for streaming services and  no one else uses it.
I don’t want to rent any equipment thanks.
Also, I have never used O2 Tv. I think it was only on there as part of the deal I was on before.
I look forward to your offer!
Thank you!
:)

Hi @Nezza

thanks for these details.

I have just sent 2 offers to you by e-mail: one with the tariff “o2 My Home M” and one with the tariff “o2 My Home L”. Both offers include the combination-benefit of 10 €.

With the tariff-change we will deactivate the package “o2 TV S”. As you would not like to use any router as rent from us anymore, please return the Homebox to us after the tariff-change. Please use this online-link for it: Return of DSL-router

What do you say to these offers?

Pursuant to the decree of transparency I need to inform you about our tariff leaflets which you can download here: http://g.o2.de/travo. There you'll find all details of the product listed.

If you like to accept one of these offers, just click on the button “Zur Anmeldung” (log-in). After you have registered at “Mein o2”, you can accept the offer.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

thanks for the message.

I only received the ‘L’ offer.

I don’t understand the bit about sending the router back. I need the router, but I don’t know I was renting the one I have from o2! I thought it was free. I just didn’t want to upgrade for €6 per month for a different one. The one I have is fine. I am trying to save money here.

Also I got a message about a Netflix subscription today. Will that be included too?

Warm regards,

N Joseph

Ok I think the Netflix thing is for the handy contract.

So about the DSL usage: I have been all around the meinO2 site and there is no way to check how much of my current ‘M’ data package, I am using. I would love to know so I can make the right decision for the next 24months.
And it seems I have been renting my router for €1.99 per month. Is that correct? I can continue that.
With thanks,

N

Hi @Nezza

oh, I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Of course, if you like to keep your Homebox-router, we will continue to charge you additionally with 1,99 € per month.

Would you like that we send the offers to you again?

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

Yes, please.

Thank you

Hi @Nezza

thanks for your reply.

I have just sent the offers to you by e-mail again. You can keep your Hombox and we continue to charge you just as before.

Pursuant to the decree of transparency I need to inform you about our tariff leaflets which you can download here: http://g.o2.de/travo. There you'll find all details of the product listed.

If you like to accept one of the offers, just click on “Vertrag verlängern” (extend your contract).

I hope you find a convenient offer for you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @Nezza

I just wanted to ask if everything worked out fine with your DSL-tariff-change?

If you have any further questions, just let me know.

By the way, please have a look into our o2 My Service-App. You find here an instruction-video in German (unfortunately) what you can do with this app:

Loving greetings,

Tobias
