My line was finally activated on Thursday, but I am still not connected to the internet. I have a Draytek 130 and I cannot access its interface to connect it to my Asus router. I input the username and password provided by o2 directly on the Asus, but there is still no internet connectivity. I just hope I have the correct cables, I bought the Draytek used and I had to find a TAE cable with RJ11. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@DraytekTAE to RJ45 and RJ11 to RJ45. But I strongly recommend to find out, why you can’t reach the daytrek router menu.
What is the difference of the adapter you suggested with this one?
@Draytek make a picture from you daytrek Ports please. What Hardware Version you have from the daytrek?

I have no idea, it just says Annex B at the back along with serial number
Here is a picture
Is it visible?
@Draytek Sorry… Sell all you stuff. And buy a Fritzbox 7530. With your knowledge of computers, networks and routers, you won't get this to work. The Fritzbox needs only the Internet Username and password and every think is working. .DONT BUY A 7430!!!!].
@Draytek fits at the dsl port your network cable?
I had managed to get a TPlink flashed with ddwrt and connect it as an AP mode. The problem here I are the different sockets and that I did not have any cables to begin with. I can manage to follow all the instructions, if I manage to connect to the mode and if DSL is synchronizing.
@Draytek fits at the dsl port your network cable?
It fits, it is that Amazon cable I posted earlier, I think it is RJ11. The LAN port is definitely RJ45
@Draytek i don’t know if the dsl connector from your daytrek is RJ11 or RJ45. If you can use your network/patch cable you can order this cable for RJ45
That would be a good choice, but it is RJ11. I need one for deutche Belegung with RJ45 ( it has 3 metal pieces/plates on one side and only one on the other). I live in Berlin, so I am not sure if other places in Germany which are more recently built have the same plugs.
@Draytek fits the yellow (Ethernet) cable to the dsl port of your draytek?
You have tell us that the yellow cable will not fit!!!
@Draytek in the Moment I think you should follow @schluej recommendation.
I think it’s an RJ45, the RJ11 fits but it’s too small so it’s probably not the right one. I had bought a TAE with RJ45 but the TAE did not fit my telephone plug. Should I post a picture of my telephone plug?
@Draytek at the moment it would be easer to explain you how to build a rocked.
PLEASE buy the Fritzbox!
@Draytek in the Moment I think you should follow @schluej recommendation.
Thanks but I got my connection through a reseller so I will have a free Fritzbox in a few months. The problem here are the cables, I do not need any help if I manage to access the modem interface.
@Draytekat the moment it would be easer to explain you how to build a rocked.
PLEASE buy the Fritzbox!
This is really offensive, in most European countries we have Ethernet cables installed and everything just works. I should have bought a modem with cables included, that is the only problem. If I wanted to spend an extra 200 euro, I would not be posting here.
The fritzbox will have all cables you need.
The RJ11 cable from the above will fit in the RJ45 socked too.
@Draytek stupid question. What BS (Windows 7 or 10?) you use at your notebook and the network Port is configured to DHCP on? Not that the networkport have a static ip adress.
The fritzbox will have all cables you need.
@schluej Not the international version. You need a TAE RJ45 Adapter or better buy a TAE RJ45 cable.
It is Windows 10. I just need the proper cable for the modem and everything else I will sort out by myself. If the modem is not synchronizing, I should still be able to access it’s interface, is that correct?
