An order for a new o2 DSL connection or for moving an existing o2 DSL contract should be placed at least 3 to 4 weeks before the desired provision date.
If a rental router from o2 is also ordered for a corresponding surcharge, the package will be shipped by DHL approximately 1 week before the confirmed provision date. In any case, it is required that the name of the contractual partner is affixed to the bell plate and mailbox of the installation address in good time. If this is not the case, packages and letter shipments will be returned as undeliverable.
Whether and when a technician appointment is made for the provision of the DSL connection is not dependent on the order of a rental router or the delivery of the same. Installation and configuration of a DSL router is the responsibility of the customer.
For full flexibility, I recommend an o2 DSL Flex contract without a minimum contract term and I would not recommend to rent a router from o2.
