Hi there,

I am an O2 DSL customer with Order Number(Auftragsnummer) XXXXXX

I have travelled back to my native country(India) on 12th July 2020 and have a request to terminate my contract.

I have already posted a request letter to the below address along with my details(de-regigistration or Abmeldung copy and flight tickets) on 06 July 2020.

 

Telefonica o2 Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

Kundenbetreuung, 90345 Nürnberg.

Through : Deutsche Post.(Streuternummer 52XXXX10).

 

However, I have not heard back from the O2 office yet.

Could you please verify and update me on my request please.

 

Kindly let me know if there is any specific email address though which i can get in touch with customer care on this issue.

It is very unfortunate that you had to return to India but we understand of course.
We have processed your cancellation and a confirmation will shortly be sent to your email address or the German contact address you provided.
Please note that we will charge you a 3-month basic fee due to the special cancellation. This will be debited from your bank account with the final invoice. Does your German bankaccount still exist?

Hello @S42,

as long as the bank account ist still open and running the open ammount will be debited from it so this should run smoothly.

Did you also recieve a router from us? If yes please make sure it is send back to us using the DSL online logistics portal to make sure it will not be billed for.

Thanks for your response.

I requested to have my account terminated, as i am not using the O2 service currently.

I believe this will avoid further debit from my bank account.

Could you please let me know the status of my request or an email ID though which i can get connected to concerned people and get my issue sorted.

Hello @S42,

 

your contract was terminated on July 30th and will be charged until this date. As we charge the monthly fees retrospectively, the latest invoice was for the period June 25th to July 24th. It will be debited on August 6th.

 

There will be one more invoice for the period July 25th to July 30th at the end of August. That (last) invoice will also include the three months charge for the early cancellation. Debit will take place at the beginning of September. Will your account be open until then? Otherwise you will have to transfer the charges yourself. Do you still receive the emails with the invoice notification?

Yes i am able to receive emails from O2 on the monthly invoices.

Also my bank account will be open until September.

 

Please let me know if i need to ship the router back to O2 office.

I am not sure if already paid for the router. Can you please check and let me know.

Hello @S42,

if you recieved a router from us it is always only given to you for the time of the contract. After the contract ends, you can send it back to us free of charge. You will find all necessary information in our DSL logistics portal.

I am trying to book the DSL return, but i am stuck where the portal is asking me enter my ‘Landline main number’ or ‘Festnetz-Hauptrufnummer’.

I am not sure about this number. I have not used landline service so far.

Could you please guide me here.

Hello @S42,

you will find the landline number on the bill that you recieve every month :-)

You will also find it in the online portal under Mein o2 if you log in with the credentials that you selected for this.
