Hi,

I left Germany on August 20th 2019, I cancelled my O2 contracts at the same time.

I was forced to pay this 3 months cancellation fees, even though the process -although legal- is comparable to stealing (paying for a service I cannot use because I am not living any more in the country it is provided is giving money against nothing, i.e. stealing) but whatever.

My German bank account was closed before the last payment was done. Since then I receive threat mails form O2 asking me to pay the last bit. Fair enough.
On the other hand, I received several emails from O2 stating that they had put money on my customer
account, whatever that means (I could never see on my customer account where that money was). Anyway, a short calculation shows me that the money I owe (61,67€) minus the money they “gave” me (117,83€) puts the balance in my favor, and O2 actually owes me 56,16€.

I wrote several times demanding that this amount be sent to me per check, but it seems that there is no real human and the O2 Customer Service in Munich since nobody has ever replied to my demand; I only received more automatically generated threat mails.

It’s only reasonable that I get the money which is on my customer account, so I believe my request is reasonable. If a real human could take care of this matter, it would be nice.

I need to add that to transfer money abroad I need to go to the bank, but it is 800km from where I am at the moment, so we will need to find another solution anyway.

Moin Moin,

if you have a 24 Month contract the contract is for 24 Month…

I think that is the same in you country.

Is this DSL or a cell phone contract?

If DSL do you rent a router from O2 (HomeBox) and do you send the rent router back to O2??

Hi,

I've had that contract for 7 years.

It was a phone contract.

I had no choice out to move out of Germany, and I closed my bank account in the process.

Since I wrote them to end my.contract they repeatedly put money on my customer account, so much that the sum on this customer account is greater than what I owe them. Therefore I don't see why they ask me money, and as stated in my second message I cannot transfer money out of France at the moment.

I simply want them to give me that money they owe me, or even simpler they just shut down my account at once and they save 56ish euros.

But I am not giving money to people who owe me some.

Also, in my country contracts are indeed 12 or 24 months, but past this period we can resign contracts for free without giving any reason. And if the period is not over but you move abroad you can also cancel for free because you have a valid reason. Much fairer than what happens in Germany.

Also you’ll have to explain to me how I am supposed to pay something within 3 days when the mail takes 4 days to reach my home.

As stated, I cannot transfer money, and the closest O2 shop is about 900km away. Can I send cash?

Hi @FXL,

I have checked your concern. Obviously you found a solution because your account is balanced now. Everything is finished.

Hi @FXL,

Yeah well no unfortunately not everything is finished because for some reason I received AGAIN another bill yesterday, so you can remove this stupid “Problem solved tag”, which I would have liked to confirm myself.

for the record, I had to convince my banker to do some manipulations that are normally forbidden so that I could pay what you asked me (but not what I owed you). You are a nuisance to a lot of people, beyond your customers alone.

And so yesterday I got yet another bill from stupid O2 asking me for a f***ing 1,20€… Seriously… What is it now? Aren’t you tired of finding new ways to steal money from people? You just make up numbers as you go, with absolutely no reason at all, just inventing new amounts to pay every month out of the blue, pretending to put money on a so called “customer account” just to prentend you are nice and care about your customers. I am sick of throwing my energy at you. If you want this 1,20€ just take it out of your purse and give it yourself to your company, this is getting extremely ridiculous. I had to disturb a lot of people and waste  lot of time to give you money which you do’nt even need in the first place, and I repeat it, it is illegal. Because paying and getting nothing in exchange is stealing.

I could also mention that, despite the fact that you claim that communication from a country of the EU is the same rate as if I were in Germany, I had the bad surprise to find out that the times I was abroad in the EU, my bill just exploded. So moreover, you lied. And I still don’t understand how some of the last bills were inflated even though I never used my phone since August, so there should have been three identical bills, which was not the case. Again, manipulation, made-up numbers, lies.

You suck. You just suck. You have no respect for your customers. You don’t care whether you give them proper service. You only care for the money. And after all, why should it be different? Thanks to the magic german laws that forces us to pay more than what we use, customers are basically hostages of their providers and you can milk them as long as you want, making up rules and bills as you go.

So sod off, I won’t move a finger so that you can get this 1,20€.  Deal with it.

Hi @FXL,

thanks for your message.

Please be aware of the fact that we pursue a respectful treatment here in our English community. Therefore, I like to ask you to use more friendlier expressions in the future.

Of course, I understand your disappointment about the unexpected invoice of 1,20 €. These are reminder charges for a late payment. We received your last payment on 28th December 2019, but the payment was due for the 23rd December 2019. Therefore, you received this extra charge. But I am glad to tell you that we already gave you a credit yesterday. This means that you do not have any open amount anymore.

I hope that you are happy with this solution.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
