I left Germany and cancelled my contract in October 2023. I was told I would have to pay an additional month, which I did. Today I got the automated email about my “bill being ready” and the sum to pay states 112,53 Euros (I had a contract for 30 euros a month). I cannot open the bill nor access it through Mein O2 to see the details because my user has been deactivated along with my contract. I don’t know what is going on, can someone help me?
Hattest du den Leih-Router zurück geschickt?
Hey
welcome to the o2 community!
Since you've posted here in the landline and Internet section, I assume you're talking about a DSL connection? Did you send the router back to us?
How did you cancel your contract?
Greetings,
Flo
Hello,
It was a cable connection, with a Fritzbox 6660.
I spoke on the phone several times and wrote on the forum to learn how to request the special termination. I was told to send a form through the web, which I did. I assumed I would need to return the router, but to this date I was never told this by O2 nor given instructions on, for example, where to send it to, so no, the router was not returned.
Can you provide me with this information? Would this resolve the debt?
Thanks, Laura
Sorry, is this an official response? Not criticizing the user, just not sure if the return process for the 14-day cancellation policy in the link applies to my case as well.
I still have the question is the return will guarantee the cancellation of the debt.
Thanks
The link leads to the official o2 return portal for rental routers from o2 (the 2nd button “Rücksendung Router”). There is only one procedure for returning o2 rental routers, it does not differ according to the reason for the return.
If you have forgotten to return your rental router and o2 has therefore charged you compensation for the device that was not returned, o2 will refund you the compensation if you return the device within a period of 3 months. You can read about this officially in the FAQ of the returns portal.
I do not know whether you have any other outstanding debts with o2.
Hello
as blablup wrote, please return the router that you still have in your possession from the contract. This is what caused the bill that you’ve come to us for. If you need any help with this, pleaes let us know.
Kind regards, Sven
