Hello,

Today I received the classical email, where O2 suggests a “best tariff”, and quoting: On this basis, based on our analysis from February 28th, 2023, the following best tariff 1 results for your current contract o2 DSL Classic M Flex → o2 my Home S Flex (duration: 1 month) incl. Unlimited data volume with up to 50MBit/s surfing speed for monthly 29.99 EUR

I do not know why the price says 29.99 when in the Internet it says it is 24.99. I also do not understand the pricing of the router (I already have the classic O2 router)… and how this change would affect me. I also have a mobile line with O2. I would like to know, in case I change to this tariff, how the setup (router, mobile, conditions...) would be and the exact payments I would need to do monthly.

Many thanks in advance,

Kind Regards

Marcos C. R.

Hello @Marcos.CR ,

welcome to the community.

You currently pay €34.99 per month for your DSL contract.
If you change this to a my home S Flex tariff, you would only pay €29.99 per month.
Since you have a Flex tariff, there is no discount. On the internet you can see the prices for a new contract with a term of 24 months. Therefore, this is cheaper.
You can continue to use your router.
If you need new access data for your router to change the tariff, these will be sent to you automatically by email.
If you do not change your mobile phone contract, it will remain the same as before and will continue to receive the combination discount.

I have sent you an offer for the DSL tariff change by email. This offer is valid for 8 days, if you like it, you can accept it via the link in the email.

In accordance with the Transparency Ordinance, I must refer you to our product information sheets,
which you can download at http://g.o2.de/travo. There you will find all product details listed once again.
There you will find all product details listed once again.

Best regards,
Maria

Hello @o2_Maria,

Many thanks for the information, and the clarity on your answers. I will read the documentation and (very likely) accept the offer soon.

Regarding the mobile phone contract, would it be possible to change to O2 Mobile S Flex but still keep the same combination discount?

Kind Regards

Marcos

Hello @Marcos.CR ,

I see you have already accepted the offer. I'm glad it was a good fit.

No, if the current combined discount of your mobile contract, I cannot continue to offer here,
if we change the mobile contract to a mobile S Flex.

Best regards,
Maria

Dear @o2_Maria

I received today the email with the new invoice, and it charged me 2 times the one-time costs:

In the offer I received, the total one-time costs was 0.00 EUR:

Could you please check and revert these charges?

Kind Regards

Marcos

Hello @Marcos.CR ,

sorry for the confusion 🌸

Unfortunately, an error has crept in here.

The tariff change fee should only be charged once.

I have credited you EUR 89.99.

In the list you posted, the fee is mentioned once.

Unfortunately, it is not mentioned in the Summ. I have forwarded this so that it does not happen again.

A  one-time charge is correct.

Best Regards,

Solveig

Hello @o2_Solveig

Many thanks for your response.

I’m a bit concerned, as these 89.99 EUR were not mentioned at all during this conversation. It would have been very appreciated and also appropriate, for transparency, as I asked clearly for the costs. It would have saved unpleasant surprises. It’s really unfortunate that, to save 5 EUR per month I need to pay 90 EUR (equivalent to 18 months savings).

But it is just my opinion.

In any case, thanks for your support.

Kind Regards

Marcos

Hello @Marcos.CR ,

a one-time fee is normal when you switch between two Flex contracts. I’m sorry that there was some confusion with the documentation that you’ve received. If there are any questions in the future, please do come back to us again.

Kind regards, Sven
