My Contract is getting expired on 14th August 2020, but my contract is auto renewed. I am moving to India, and want to cancel my contract. Whenever I called helpdesk, they keep on speaking in German and I asked about English support, but helpdesk cancelled my phone.

Now How to cancel my contract?

My customer number is xxx

@Abhijeet6481 Did the speak about a mobile contract ( @Bollermann linked for mobile) or a (V)DSL contract (you post in broadcast Dsl)?

Its about Internet Broadband connection. (DSL)

Unfortunately City town hall is closed due to COVID-19. I send a mail to them for de-registration, but no update from them. Now to cancel O2 contract I need that proof. :(

Also my contract was till 14th August 2020 and it is auto renewed.

I am stuck now and flying back to India on 27th July

@Abhijeet6481 what town you live? (Only town please! No adress!)

Did you you have a rented o2 router? o2 Router must send back too or you must buy a penalty.
For return a rented router, please use for the free the o2 return portal. -> https://dsl-retoure.o2online.de

Hi Joe,

I have not rented the router. But owned the router.

Thanks for showing courtesy to helping me out so quickly

Hi @Abhijeet6481

a router sent by o2 is never ment to be your property. Even if you don’t pay a monthly fee for it. It hast to be returned after your contract is finished.

As a proof you will really leave the country for good you may also sent a rental contract in your home country or a one-way flight ticket.

My colleagues will check if this might be enough.

Greetings

Ok, I understand it, that I need to send my router. But what about my cancellation of contract? Where should I send my router? and who will confirm me that my contract is cancelled? As I have informed, city town hall is closed and I have to send my de-registration form by post. After that in 3-4 weeks I will get confirmation about cancellation of contract.

Hello @Abhijeet6481,

if you recieved a router from us you can send it back to us free of charge via our DSL logistics portal. Some city halls also offer online services or help for deregistration forms. As my colleague already stated we also accept rental contracts from your new home abroad, copies of a working contract, one-way-tickets and so on.

After recieved all necessary information the contract will be deactivated within a three months notice.

Regards,

Lars
