activation date / contract cancel


Hello, 

 

I am a new customer, I received yesterday my Fritzbox 6690 for my o2 my home L flex internet contract, I have few questions please :

My activation date is set to the 11.04, do I need to do anything before this date ? It says that my internet will be activated remotely without a technician.
When I will want to cancel my contract, what should I do ? Do I have to send the fritzbox back to o2?

And also, it is written that I should see the o2 home page when connecting to the fritzbox, which I can’t.

On the fritz.box page it is written that « cable is connecting » and « establishing connection » but that does not seems to work, the led keeps blinking. Is this normal because I have to wait for my activation date or is this a problem ? I don’t know if it is an issue from my cable plug since I did not try it before.

Welcome to the o2 Community 💙

If your activation date is set to the 11.04., you won’t able to establish a connection until that time.
The technician will still have to activate your connection, it just means he does not need access to your house in order to do so (you do not need to be at home).
Please do restart your router at the day of activation to avoid any issues.

In order to cancel your contract you will have to send the router back to us, yes.

Thank you for your response, but in the letter that I receive it says that I should be able to see o2 main page even before the activation date ? So I don’t know

Testing the connection (and accessing the o2 main page) is an additional service that depends on many different processes happening in the background.

This option might not be available for your location or may be available closer to the activation date.
Most importantly, you should check the connection at the day of activation and reach out to us, if there is any problems.

Additionally, you should have received contact details in your letter, which point you to our special department.
