I bought an Apple Watch with cellular connection and am now trying to make it work with my existing o2 connection. My iPhone uses an eSim too. After setting up the cellular connection, I got an error saying “it takes longer then usual to complete the setup, you will be informed via sms or email when the setup is finished”. Since then the status in my Apple Watch App changed to “waiting”. I learned in the community forum that many people face the same issue since three years and yet I hardly see anyone have their problems solved. Is there a solution to this? Do I have to go to a shop? Should I return the watch? Should I terminate my o2 contract? I bet calling tech support is pointless.
