Canceling O2 contract at the end of the contract

Hallo O2 team,

I just came to know that the we need to cancel the contract 3 months in advance for a proper termination. Whereas i thought the contract will end automatically and will not be renewed. Now that I am already around 10 days before the end of contract, I am wondering how can I cancel the contract. As I will leave Germany at the end of December,I want to cancel the O2 contract as soon as possible with the goodwill. Is there any solution for this? can I cancel my contract now and get the cancellation 3 months before i leave Germany (i.e. December).

Please let me know your advice.

If one leaves Germany, o2 is known to voluntarily cancel the contract. You have to send certain documents to prove your leaving Germany. A moderator will surely be so kind to send you a form by mail. For this you should wait until a moderator will read your post.

This special kind of cancellation normally costs a three-months-fee, which will be again explained in the mail you sooner or later will receive.

Hi Fuchs,

Thanks for the info. As I am planning to leave Germany at the end of December, I will have my de-registration certificate only in December. Then, should I do the cancellation later or i can strat doing it now?

You will have to send in the documents at the monent you cancel, so that o2 can work on your case.
