DSL Zugangs PIN 10 digits

Hi,

I now have O2, and am using a friend's old 6441 Homebox.

I performed a factory reset, but it asks for a 10 digit PIN.

I did not receive a 10 digit PIN in the mail.

Would a moderator be able to retrieve my PIN if I provide the relevant info?

Thank You,
Christopher

Moin Moin,

i think the problem could be that the Homebox is a loaner!

So you are using hardware that is property of O2 but u are not paying for it...

Would you help someone in possession of your property?

It's not a loaner.  My friend moved and paid it off.  Thank you for accusing me of being a thief.  That reflects greatly on the pride you take in your career in customer service ; )

Hi,

all o2 Homeboxes are coupled with there connection, so if you want to use a o2 Box form a othr connection your o2 profile must adjustet by o2. For this you must call the technical hotline (0800-5251378 for free) and ask for this. Remeber that you must understand german or get help by a german speaking friend because of the voice menue.

schluej is not a o2 worker he is also a customer like you and me and what he told you is right - your friend paid a rental for this box and if he (obviously) don´t sent back the router he paid for loss but o2 is still owner of this box.

Greetz

o2 "sells" no router, the devices are all loaner, which must be given back after the contract!

Your friend has certainly paid a non-return fee, but the router will not be his property!

PS: so far no o2-employee has answered, you communicate here with other customers.

I do not calling you a thief. I just want to prepare you that the support may not help you, because you did not buy the product from O2. Or O2 calculates the box as if you had rented it.

And i am a normal customer from O2. You are in a customer helps customer forum.

Maybe @o2_Lars‌ could help you...

Hello @Agile,

we can not provide support for a homebox that was not sent to your. A o2 DSL Homebox that you got from a friend/the internet/any imaginable place around will most probably not work on your DSL landline connection. It may be the wronf firmware (no, we can not flash it to make it support your connection) it may be an outdated Firmware, it may be a Homebox that is locked to another landline.

You may rent a router from us or you may buy a VDSL and IP phone combatible router on the free market but we can not and will not provide support for a Homebox that was not sent to you, sorry.

Regards,

Lars
