Good evening. I am a student here in Germany. I was in Munich and I went to an O2 Shop to ask about the monthly installment plan for an iphone. The guy that attended to me said that I needed to be a member of O2 before I can apply for a phone. He then said he was going to register me up for a sim card contract first and after that, he'll register me for the phone. We were together for a while and he then said my contract has been completed. I has to pay 40 Euros in cash first and then he also told me that I will pay 40 Euros for the first month and then subsequently, I will have to pay 24 Euros per month for the 280gb. All that happened on the 27th of September, 2024. I moved out of Munich on the 1st of October and came to Kiel and I have been contacting the guy about the phone plan but he kept telling me that the phone wasn't available and will not be available for a long time. After a while, he stopped picking my calls and there's no way I could reach him. The only reason I took out the sim contract was to be a customer so I could get a device plan but I couldn't. Along the line, my old phone got spoilt and I was forced to buy another phone and that means that I do not also need the iphone anymore. I came to Kiel for my master's program and so, I have WiFi in my room and in my university which I'm already paying for. Hence, I am writing to you to kindly help me through the process of withdrawing the contract as I have no need for it anymore. I would appreciate all the help I can get.
Also, if not an entire termination, if I could get an amendment to the current contract because I honestly do not need that much GB of data with the unlimited I'm already paying for in my accommodation. So, if there's also a way to reduce the price of my plan so that I get a smaller package rather than completely withdrawing, please let me know that too.
Thank you so much for your help.
