incorrect bill

I just received a bill for close to 200 euros.  I don’t use my O2 sim as I have my work sim in my phone. I have forwarded all voice calls from my O2 number to my work number. My contact includes free calls to all German mobile and land lines. So why am I being charged for this ? I’ve just gone back over the last 3 months and I have been charged for it there too.

What exactly were you charged for? Forwarding? That is correct since forwarded calls are not covered by your flatrate (see price list).

well I am not happy about that at all. Why would call forwarding to a German mobile be different from calling a mobile. It is a hidden charge that is counter intuitive. How can I complain about this?

Forwarding is an additional service. You shouldn't assume something is included just because it seems logical to you.

You can certainly submit a complaint to o2 if you want to (the address is on your invoice) but when you concluded the contract you agreed to the conditions including the price list. o2 has charged you for the service as per the contract you agreed to.

Did you read your contract (or have somebody explain it to you if you didn't understand it)?

First of all it is reasonable to assume that a call forwarding to a German mobile is free of charge when calls to a German mobiles are included. Secondly no I didnt read all the small print of the contract, who does ?

Secondly I am yet to find a list of charges, it is hidden in the small print. It is highly excessive to to charge 200 Euros for call forwarding.

The service from o2 is terrible and yes I will be complaining and canceling my contract.

Perhaps to you. Only because you find it reasonable, does not necessarily mean, that it is reasonable.  😉

The fees for forwarding are written clearly and in the same font size as the rest of the fees in the price list, which you agreed to when you made the contract. The price list generally is handed out with the rest of the treaty forms, and is attached to the treaty mail.

Additionally, you find them here: https://www.o2online.de/service/downloads/preislisten/

II’m sorry, but it seems to me as if you search for excuses for not reading the price list or not getting informed about these fees in time in order to shift your responsibility to o2.

I’m sorry. You think that me thinking  that being charged 200 Euros for forwarding calls is looking for excuses ?

the contract was generated on the phone , I didn’t get to see all the charges, yes they may have been sent to me in the post but to me honest I don’t have time to read all the small print.

And answers like this are typical of BAD customer service.

It‘s your, not somebody else‘s fault, when you don‘t read your contracts or do not get informed about possible costs before you take advantage of services.

A responsible customer should do so in life. 😉

Apart from this: I am nothing but another customer, so do not expect „customer service“ from me. I only write what I think or give advices when I want to do so.

Alright buddy. Well it’s nice you spend time on the internet giving your opinion. And thanks for the life advice.
