Hello everyone,

I recently applied for a mobile phone contract with a SIM card through O2, but my order was unexpectedly cancelled without any explanation. When I called their hotline, they suggested it might be an issue with my SCHUFA credit report.

I’m new to Germany and received my three-year residence permit in December 2023. Currently, I only have one active contract, which is with Deutsche Bahn (DB), and I pay it every month on time.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with O2? If so, how did you resolve it? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

After this rejection, I placed an order for just a SIM card contract, but it was rejected again. I wrote a letter to Telefónica, and they responded, saying my SCHUFA score is 76%. This confused me greatly, as I am new to this country and have no other contracts, outstanding debts, or unpaid bills.

I requested a SCHUFA report and discovered that the rejections from O2 have negatively impacted my score. Now, I am at a loss for what to do because O2 is the only service provider where the SIM card and internet work very well for me.

What's your problem?

When o2 answered , that they didn't want you, then

 try another provider 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Seyarazizi use an pre paid card. If you try the next time, use a Tarif with „flex“ in the name.

This contract could be cancel after a month (both side). A normal contract has minimum runtime of 24 Month! And if you have Trouble with the quality of the O2 Network you don’t have to wait 24 Month to cancel.

Hello @Seyarazizi,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

That is not so nice that your orders have been rejected in our credit assessments. Here a user has explained the credit assessment and Schufa score quite good in this article.

The score will be renwed every 3 months.

Best regards,

Gerrit

Buchstaben A - P).

Hello @Seyarazizi, I just wanted to check in and see if you had already sent the letter requesting the explanation for the rejection.

Have you received any feedback on this yet?

Hello @Seyarazizi ,

you’d probably need to contact the Schufa about that, as they are the ones that keep your score and are responsible for the ways that it changes.

Kind regards, Sven
