I cannot login to "my O2" after taking over one DSL contract (Vertragsinhaberwechsel)

Hello O2 Team

I have taken over one DSL contract from my friend for about one year, and I cannot log in to the “My O2” to change my payment details. I only received one email stating the contract owner change (Vertragsinhaberwechsel) with no change to the Rufnummer. I tried to make a new account as a DSL customer, but they ask for my 4 digit customer number, which I don’t think I have. I also applied for this number twice, mentioning that the number will be posted yet never received.

Can you tell me where I can find this number, or any other way I can log in to Mein O2?

Another issue is that my DSL suffers frequently connecting-disconnecting in recent days. I assume this is due to the aging of our router. Is there any possibility to evaluate our DSL/router condition and, possibly, have a maintainance/replacement?

Hello @MuMag,

welcome to our community. :relaxed:

did you get a specific error message while trying to log in? What happens when you type in the landline number as the username?

Best regards,

Michi

Hello Michi

Thank you for the reply. I do receive an error message, which says “Ihr Nutzername ist uns nicht bekannt. Bitte überprüfen Sie ihre Eingabe. (username is unknown)”

I also tried to contact the former contract holder and receive a 6-digit customer number, which is apparently not the 4-digit one the website asked for.

Interestingly, with the information from the former holder, I can still log in to the http://dsl.o2.de/meino2 with nothing inside, which I assume to be the old website.

Can you help me fix this problem? How can I send the necessary information to you?

BR

MuMag

@MuMag If the contract owner change, the new owner give a new 4 digit pin in the paper’s. You don’t have this done?

Actually I didn’t find this in the documents I received.

Hello @MuMag,

if the ownership of a contract changes, the phone number of this contract has to be registered again on our online portal to access all data.

If ouy already have a contract with us, for example a mobile contract please try the same four digit number that you use for your mobile contract.

Please also logout of our community or use a new inkognito browser window to register the DSL landline contract :-)

Regards,

Lars
