[English] Support Needed for DSL Connection

I am currently having issues with the connection speed of my O2 DSL Line. I am on 8 mb/s contract but the maximum I can get is a mere 1.9 mbps. I would like to understand why the line refuses to sync at higher speeds given that my neighbors who are with T Online are connection in the 7 mbps range.

I would appreciate if some test could be run to clarify the situation as I am only getting 25% of what I pay for.

Hello,

my English ist very bad, but i'll try my best ☺️

Plug out the DSL Cable from the TAE (little white box on the wall), wait 1 minute and plug it in again. Then wait until all lights are on, then test again.

If the error persists, call the Hotline.

Best regards
First of all, do you live in a region where you have to pay the so-called "Regio-Zuschlag"? Which would mean, that your connection is established via T-Online infrastructure. In that case you should get nearly the same speed as your neighbors. If not, there meight be something wrong with the wires between your router and the DSLAM.

If you don't pay the "Regio-Zuschlag" then you are connected to Telefonica infrastructure (which is O2). In consequence your speed is not related to the speed of neighbors using T-Online.

Anyway, you should call the hotline.
