Hello!

I ended my contract with O2 ( received the Kündigungsbestätigung per email ) contract will expire on September 21.

I wanted to transfer my O2 number to the new provider but I received an sms from them saying they could not transfer it.

Do I need a special permission from O2 in order for the number to be transfered before September 21 ?

Yes. You need to tell o2, for example by telephone or chat. Or you wait for an o2_moderator. You then get the Information that the number is free. After this you need to tell the new provider again to transfer the number.

I tried resolving this on the Live Chat. They could not help, they directed me to Kundenbetreuung.

I called the Kundenbetreuung but I could not reach them.



How long until an O2_Moderator can help me with this ?

Your number is released for porting and can be taken over by your new provider. The porting declaration is valid for 30 days. ✔️



The processing of a port (ie the time to the day on which it actually takes place) may take several days, but the actual technical takeover of the phone number is quite fast, there should be no major downtime.



Please make sure that all personal data you give to the new provider will exactly match those that you have specified with us, so that the takeover can work.

The port will be charged with 29.95 EUR, that will be shown on the final bill. ✔️
