Everything working just fine till suddenly on Thursday 05th August around 11:30 morning the internet connection went down. In the beginning, I thought I have a problem with my laptop, but when I checked my other devices, I found that there is no internet connection and also the landline is not working, which was a bit puzzling.

When I checked the router, I found that the Power LED is green, WLAN and DSL LEDs are blinking in green, and all other LEDs are gray. Tried to connect my laptop via LAN but there was no internet either.

First I tried to turn the router off and on again hoping that things will work out, but that wasn't successful. Then I tried to unplug the router from the electricity socket for a couple of minutes, but that didn't solve the problem either. Finally, I decided to reset the router, but nothing on the router LEDs has changed;  Power LED is still green, WLAN and DSL LEDs are still blinking in green, and all other LED are still gray. The Info LED didn't change to red after the reset, but I decided to try my luck and enter the PIN. That's when I got the message "Bitte überprüfen Sie die Verkabelung Ihres Modemes" which was confusing and funny since I haven't changed anything about the wiring since the technician installed everything over 3 years ago and I'm sure that I didn't change anything about the connections since this problem started or even weeks before that.

So now I'm not sure whether the router is defected or there is a problem with the wiring from the outside 'cause everything was just working fine. Do I need a technician to figure out the origin of the problem?

Many thanks in advance ☺️

Hi,

a blinking DSL means that there is no DSL-signal, it seems that it is a technical problem.

At first resest the box (press 30 seconds the reset button) and test it again, is this not helpfull call the o2 technical support 0800-5251378 (at first is a german speaking menu) or use th livechat Kontakt - Beratung for help (Open working days 7 - 20, sat. 10 - 18, outside only emergency hotline 089 6666 300 44)

Greetz :-)
