Rejected for new phone contract (twice) !!!!

Afternoon!
I am done trying to buy a new phone via o2 now.
I actually did tried twice at the shop and then once via deinHandy but every time they rejected my request saying ("Due to your security reasons").

I googled around and found out that they check for "solvency" and all that which is fine by the way but still I am NOT SURE why they cancelled it.

I am a full time Student (it's been almost a year now) I work as HiWi too and I am very serious about both.

What more you need to see?

Best,
Mohan

It would appear your creditworthiness isn't sufficient for o2 for you to be able to buy a phone on credit. There is nothing you can do about that.

I have had no business with O2 before, and what's creditworthiness supposed to mean?

Creditworthiness is what you meant by "solvency". In German: Bonität.

I don't see the relevance of you not having had a contract with o2 before.

So, it's nothing bad that I could possibly have done, it's just not sufficient! right?

Correct. Like other companies o2 runs a credit check on customers wishing to buy a phone because you pay in instalments. Every company will have their own criteria when it comes to the credit score.

Okay!
That makes me feel much better now.

Thanks 🙂

Welcome. There is really no point worrying about it as it happens to a lot of people every day.
