Warum O2

I am moving to a new apartment and already booked the "Umzug" to complete my connection, the only problem is that the apartment has only an Optic Fiber port, instead of the normal DSL line port. The O2 box just has a line connection and it´s not compatible with fiber optic. Will O2 ask me to buy a new and compatible router? Or is it possible to exchange the Router since Optic Fiber is the only option available?

Thank you beforehand

You need a new phone line/DSL  connection or O2 must cancel the contract.

I assume that you live in a kind of student appartment? Then you must check for special student access to internet.

Thank you very much for your reply. In fact is the other way around, I used to live in a student apartment and now I'm changing to a private owned apartment. It is only Optic Fiber enabled, there is no land switch. It has a Multimedia Dosenaufsatz though.

Now that I have better understanding on the Topic. The new house where I am going to be living has only the Multimediadose, whereas the O2 HomeBox that I have has a TAE port. Is there any chance I can make it compatible? Or would I require to cancel the contract?

No chance!

Fibre or cable-internet is not compatible with O2-plans (except a Hamburg loacation: WilhelmTel) and router.

Main problem is the 2-wire for O2 (TAE connector) and the incompatible data connection
