Hello O2 people!

I've just got new o2 homebox 6641 and was trying to replace my old 6431 with it when I discovered the PPPoE passthrough checkbox is missing in internet options. I'd like to use the homebox as a modem paired with my Asus router.

Please let me know if there an easy way to activate PPPoE passthrough in o2 homebox 6641.

Any additional ideas/suggestions are welcome.

Best Regards,

Dmitry

Hi Stefan,

thanks for replying.

The tab "Weitere Einstellungen" is missing on my web gui.

I've read that this is so depending on firmware version.

Is this possible to fix by installing another firmware?

The FW depends on the ADSL Port. If this is a Telekom Port, the FW ends with b. Then PPPoE wont work, because the telekom only allows one session.

PPPoE passthrough worked fine for me with previous version of homebox.

What can I do to make it work with 6641?

Can you send me your customer number in a PM to the User @o2_DSL‌ .

Stefan

done

Hi Stefan,

I've sent my Kundennumer to @o2_DSL yesterday but still got no reply.

Please feel free to reply also in German if that can speed things up somehow.

I can't use the old homebox and can't get my home network to connect to internet using the new homebox because of missing PPPoE passthrough option. Please help.

Regards,

Dmitry

Thx for the customer number. I have take a look at your line. I´m sorry, but with the new router you are switched to an Telekom One Session Port. PPPoE is there not possible.

@o2_Stefan

Hab auch das gleiche Problem mit PPPoE Einstellung im Router. Das Problem trat erst mit der neuen Hardware von o2 auf. Könnt ihr das Prüfen?

@o2_DSL‌ Der hat meine Daten.

Auch du liegst auf einem VDSL One Session Port der Telekom. PPPoE ist dort nicht mehr möglich.

Gruß

Stefan

Vielen Danke für die Info. Bietet ihr da eine Alternative an?

I also have the O2 box 6431. No pppoe option in the settings. How can i tell if getting another router will give me the option of pppoe? I've read that even if i get another router, depending on the line it might not be available.
