I have O2 DSL contract for 3 years now. My contract was supposed to end in December, 2018. To cancel auto renewal of my contract, I have sent a letter to O2 in the July, simply stating that, I want my contract to be terminated after December. I thought sending letter is enough and believed that the contract would be terminated. However, to my surprise, I discovered few days back that, the contract is renewed for another year. I would not be required this internet connection and paying for one more year would be too much for me as a student. Would you please tell me, how can I cancel my contract. I tried to call to the customer care. There is a long waiting time and at the end, the operator does not speak english at all. I am desperately seeking some help. Any help would be appreciated.

I wanted to have a look into this but it seems like you are using a different email address in the forum then you use in your DSL contract, is that possible?
Where did you find the information that your contract period was renewed? You should find the information regarding your cancelation on your invoice.

Hello O2_Lars,
Thank you for your prompt response. The minimum contract period in my O2 website was updated automatically from 2018 to 2019. Thats how I realized the renewal. The email address I used for my O2 subscription isXXXXXXXXXX. Please let me know, if you need any further information.

it is possible that the date is not properly updated in the online portal. Please have a look ta the invoice itself, if a cancelation was recieved it should have the deactivation date written onto it.
