Hello all!

I have been living here for 6 years and soon ill be flying to my motherland. I hold the same contract for 6 years. I am very well satisfied with the connection such as the reception. But, with the customer service is something terrible. They would say something but in reality its not gonna happen. I wanted to end my contract long back in the year 2015 but when i posted my termination notice(with acknowledgement due receipt), they said it arrived late. Funniest thing is i did not get the acknowledgment back!! I simply dont understand someone can buy a sim card anywhere in germany but to terminate the contract, one have to write a letter and post it. i understand they have their rules but atleast a phone call for consent would be appropriate.

So, my contract got extended automatically. lets keep that a side. Last year i found that an amount of 8,99 € is being deducted every month. To my surprise it was happening for one and half years(had few bills printed out on some purpose). Guess what! this amount is for the Telefonica insurance. I dont even know why or how they got my consent. I never signed on any documents. I contacted the local shop and they sent a fax to the head office. say nearly 3 times this guy helped me sending the fax but i got no reply. I went to another shop and tried because i know a guy who works for o2. He contacted some people on phone and finally told me it was a "mistake" from o2. Then he gave me a contact number for claims department in Dortmund. I have contacted them. they said they would need the bills. I had not too many bills in my hand so i have to call O2 again and buy the bills since our bills are not saved online for years. I payed nearly 25 or 30 euros. Again, who is paying for whose mistake?? unfortunately i fell sick in june last year with thyroid, spinal disc dislocation problem. I got well in this April again. I have many things to settle so i was a bit distarcted from this issue. i have sent all my scanned receipts nearly a month ago. i received acknowledgement email but till now they havent contacted me. i planned to sue them before i leave. I have a lawyer friend too but later i thought why unnecessary hustle with strangers.

In june, 2017 i fell down and had my foot broken. Literally cant move any where. It was terrible. By the time i started walking, the deadline for my contract termination notice has already passed by. Oh my god i never realized that. I am late by a week or something. i contacted the customer care they said i cannot end the contract now. I went to shop and tried to explain that i was unable to move. They simply said no! huh! Later someone from o2 contacted me and proposed for a new contract which will be of 2 years. LOL. I said I will be leaving soon but he said thats alright if i can pay some amount upfront while leaving, they can end the contract.I said yes to that because its bit cheaper than what i'm paying now. If i stay here then it might be useful too.he offered a new sim card for free. he said i have to confirm the new contract after trying it for a week. i called him after a week and there is absolutely no connection to this number. Several times i called but no connection. Then i rang up general O2 customer service. Somebody answered my call and said if wanted to have a new sim card i have to pay 25 €. #ROFL# what can i say??

I thanked him and cut the call. i dont want to rate the service but its a very pathetic situation when i see myself that I did a great mistake. In case if im returning to germany again, i swear i would never dare to buy o2 sim card again. this is like a big lesson for me. People, be cautious. keep checking your bills especially if you have a post paid connection. later there wont be any one to help or resolve the problem.

Mrs Hopper, I suppose you are long gone since you wrote the above. Myself, I am in a terrible struggle now against these thieves and their self-imposed Telefonica Insurance which i NEVER asked for, signed up and much less receive any contract. As a matter of fact, I was so god damn unaware that I booked a Deutsche Familienversicherung for that SAME iPhone. Well this is customary in this country having lived in the seven corners of planet earth I know what I 'm talking about. Greediness from these so-called companies. They have NO CLUE how to treat, much less respect customers.

Now I've got Real Inkasso all over my ass and them, they are even worse, they live off this rip offs. I hate this type of behavior but what can I do if the only insurance which I lack is the Rechtsschutzversicherung. If you ask me, this is a must in this country. I have never had so many fights with companies as I have had here. I am simply appalled and tired of fighting. It is a constant struggle which drives anyone mad, especially if you try to reach them at their so-called "support" numbers.

They can rot in hell miserable greedy mfs...
