Hi. I successfully canceled my contract in June last year and then received a call from someone who offered me a sweetener. Of 5€ per month. At no time she she say that the kündigung had been taken back. I was under the impression it was just a customer service call. Now I have just been informed that she took back my Kündigung without confirming it with me so my contra t has automatically been extended by a year. Although in the Mein o2 it still say the end contract is 17.02.2019. I would like an answer to how this could happen?

And by the way. I read that the reason we have to write here and there is no email addeess available is the quick answer time here. Which after 45 minutes of waiting I am not sure I would agree with.
Question: Why should a company give somebody a "sweetener" (sic) of 5 Euros / month if you still wish to terminate your contract? Did you not think that was a bit strange or think to question it?
Did you not get an email after the telephone call confirming that the termination had been withdrawn? If not, what you can do is write to o2 asking them to prove that you withdrew your termination during the telephone call. If you are lucky they won't be able to and then your original termination will be reinstated. You would most likely have to repay any discounts you have already received though.

You don't have to write here if you want to contact o2 directly and for the impatient it is probably better to call customer services or use the online chat. I am sure you don't think you would get an answer to an email after 45 minutes!
Hi @PWoodhouse ,
thanks for your message.
You received already a good answer from@bs0 .
I regret that you have the impression that you were not correctly informed. But additionally, you also received a confirmation by e-mail on 2nd June 2018 which states the discount of 5,00 € for 6 months.
Therefore, a cancellation until 17th February 2019 is not possible anymore. Your contract has been prolonged automatically for further 12 months.
I understand that you are not satisfied with this answer, but in this case I have no other solution for you.
May I ask you for the reason for your cancellation? If you like I can make a good offer for you.
I look forward to your reply.
Loving greetings,
Tobias

Thans Tobias. I appreciate the answer but I would still expect it to be made clear verbally when agreeing the change. As other Telekom companies do. For example I had canceled my Telekom contract with the intention of potentially switching to o2 or whoever could make a good offer. They contacted me and improved the contract, but most relevantly I was asked multiple times if I was aware that the contract notice was being rescinded. This should be normal practice so that people are fully aware of what they are agreeing to. I left the telephone with the impression that as a gesture of goodwill and ongoing customer service to improve the chances of an ongoing customer relationship o2 had made that offer. I feel that not making it Cleer in the telephone call was a TERRIBLE example of customer service. This is what disappointed the most. If I had been told during the call what I meant to take the discount I would not have done. Or in other words I was not fully informed by the customer service team.
Also to answer. BsO on the other point of the contact. I don't expect an immediate reply, the same as it has taken me a day or so to reply now and it would have taken just as long if it had been an email exchange. My issue is with the marketing of the o2 commu ity where it is said that the community is faster. Which is quite frankly not true.

Also thank you Tobias for your answer and time I appreciate it. I just noticed the final paragraph in your reply. So I canceled due to price in that i saw better prices elsewhere including from Telefonica subsibaries. I would appreciate an offer as it seems my contract has been extended by a year anyway.
Thanks again Tobias
Thanks again Tobias

How much data volume would you prefer?
Do you need also a mobile phone additionally to your contract extension?
As soon as I have your reply, I will give you a good offer.

Hi Tobias. As you can see from my info. I don't need more data than now. I am not sure about a phone it completely depends on the price.
