Hello! I rented an apartment about six months ago. During this time I was using O2 home internet which is a part of my apartments contract. I discovered all kind issues while using this source of the internet. My top 3 are below.

1) Unstable connection. Now you have it, now you don't. Do you want to make a Skype call? Avoid using this connection, use mobile data instead.

2) No connection at all. My iPhone, for example, said the password for WiFi network is wrong which is nonsense (you can't change this password). Password was fine after rebooting the internet box.

3) Slow connection, classic. Say hello to YouTube buffering and low-res videos!

Sometimes you can fix these issues by rebooting the internet box. Sometimes you can't do it that way. Sometimes everything is fine (but most of the times it is not).

So I'm wondering if that is OK for O2 home internet or we can fix this somehow?
If broadband Internet is included in the rent for your apartment then you should get your landlord/landlady to deal with the problem. If the problem is with the network and not within the building or with the router then he/she should contact o2 technical support so that they can investigate the issue.
Hello @folder50,

these are issues that can be fixed. It is just necessary that the o2 DSL contract owner gets in touch with our customer service so we can have a look into this.

If you have the possibility I recommend to connect devices via a LAN cable. A wireless network is subject to a lot of possible reasons why the connection may degrade.

Hi o2_Lars! Thanks for your reply. Is there any chance that I can reach to the customer service instead of the owner?
Hello @folder50,

if you know the four digit "Kundenkennzahl" for legitimation there should be no problem. If you do not know it I can only recommend to reach out to the owner of the DSL contract.

Lars
Hi o2_Lars!

Now I've got Benutzername and Kundenkennwort. How can I proceed with this?
Hello @folder50,

if you have the "Kundenkennwort" you can legitimate yourself at the technical DSL hotline so they can have a look into this. Please also have the customer number or the landline phone number at hand so that the customer data can be found.

I f you do not speak german at all I recommend to call with a friend of yours who does so since we can not promise that you will reach an english speaking agent.

Regards,

Lars
Hi o2_Lars! Is there any other way I can create service request other than a phone call?
Hello @folder50,

unfortunately not. I recommend to call from a mobile phone so some tests can be made during the call.

Regards,

Lars
