Does anybody here speak English? My problem is that I bought an LG G4 on contract from an O2 store in Kaiserslautern in December 2015 however in October 2016 the phone died completely. Knowing this was a known problem with the phone i took it back to the store i bought it from only to be told that the serial number on my phone was not the one they had on record. This is strange as this is the phone they gave me. After being told there was nothing they could do I left. However I went back last week to speak again only to be told the same thing. I checked the box my phone came in and yes the IMEI and serial number are different from my phone. The person in the store also told me there is no record of the serial number of my phone on the O2 computer. Now i know that this is the phone they gave me. I am still paying for this phone until next December. Also I have insurance but that obviously is no good if the phone doesnt match. They have accused me of changing the phone. why would i do that? If i broke the phone i would just claim on my insurance as opposed to buying a new one for hundereds of euros. Can anybody help me?

Hi gazzathered,
we will try to get some information.
Can you please tell me the last 4 numbers of the IMEI of your phone and that one of your documents?
Like that we can check what we have in the system.
Kind regards,
Jessica

Hi Jessica, thank you for your reply. The last four of the IMEI on my phone 1852 and on my paperwork and the side of the box for the phone it says 1803. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi. This is the 3rd message i have sent but I have no reply. The new mobile you sent me is still rebooting itself everyday. It has done it today about 5 times. This is totally unworkable. i am not happy at all. This is a phone I am still paying for until December. So, in all the time I have had the phone, i have used it fault free for 10 months, then it died completely, so i sent it back to you after being called a liar at the O2 shop, and then you send me a new one which keeps turning itself off. I am about to write a letter to O2 head office unless you can come up with a real solution. Before I know it I will have paid for a phone over 2 years and had nothing but problems with it. In fact for 5 months I couldnt use it at all. This is beyond a joke now and I need this sorting out.I would prefer to change the phone for something completely different.
Hi @gazzathered ,
I'm sure you aren't particularly happy with us right now, but I only now saw your thread so I'll try to help out anyways.
Trouble is that there is only so much I can do at this point. Generally, if you order a device that has any sort of defect, it will only be exchanged if it goes in for the same defect for the third time. Meaning at the moment, the only option is that you send the phone in for repairs again.
I believe Kurt has explained how that works exactly when you send a message to the o2 Support Account.
Kind regards,
Nico
