I have some time trying to cancel my mobil tarif by phone without success and the problem is that I'm already back in my home country.
I know that there is a form that can be sent by post or fax, but is there a way to send it by email?
Moreover, I don't have yet a contract in my home country and all notification of my current domicile are addressed to my wife. Is there any other document that I can send as a proof that I don't live in Germany anymore (e.g. my last contract with DAAD scholarship, stating the expiration of the contract?)
cheers
M.

Hello MTripp,
here you have all the information about this topic: Extraordinary dismissal because of moving abroad | o2 Community
As I see your deactivation is already set for the 25th of June 2018.
For the extraordinary dismissal you need to follow all the steps mentioned in that FAQ which I have mentioned.
To proof that you do not live in Germany anymore you have to hand in:
o2 does not have any email address for customer support. FAX or via post would be the normal way to hand it all in.
In exceptional cases we can also make it via this community, that you send all the documents via private message to our official customer support account. Just let me know if you have all the documents. Afterwards I'll unlock you to send us private messages, as well as explain to you how it works.
Kind regards,
Jessica

Dear Jessica,
Thanks a lot for your prompt response.
If deactivation is already set for June, then it should be fine. I just want to be sure that a new contract won't start afterward.
Another question: I may need to close my German bank account at the end of May. If the contract finishes in June, that means that I would need to pay that month, isn't? therefore, is there any way that I can pay in advance, before closing my account?
best regards
M.

Dear Jessica,
would it be possible to ask you for an update on the status of my contract? You mentioned last time that deactivation was set for June 25th, 2018 but according to MeinO2 account, the next de-registration date is set 25.03.2019. I really don't want to start a new contract.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi MTripp,
no worries, the cancellation of your contract is entered and it will be deactivated on 25.06.2018. You cannot see this in Mein O2, that's true. Sorry for the confusion. Regarding your other question: Yes, we will charge for the time the contract was active but it shouldn't be a problem to transfer the money yourself to our bank account. The details are given in the invoice. You have to make sure to have your customer number in the reference line (and only this) so that we will be able to refer the transaction to the right customer account.
Best wishes

Dear Illona,
Continuing with this issue, I would like to ask if is possible to confirm that my contract is finish and free of any additional fees. If that's the case, then I would be able to finally close my bank account.
Many thanks for all your help and assistance
Best wishes

Hi @MTripp ,
your contract got deactivated but you will get one final invoice after the deactivation.
I would recommend you to wait until that one and afterwards you can close the bank account.
Kind regards,
Jessica
