Hallo Community.

I have 2 excactly the same contracts (O2 Free L )

On one number (of course the one I dont even use) the datavolume was increased from 9GB to 30GB

The number I use all the time has been left at 9GB

My contracts are up for renewal in a month or so, (before I cancel all my contracts with O2 I thought I'd drop this question in here to see if there is an explaination...

Thanks in advance

Dave
Hi @dmac,

one of your phone numbers was randomly chosen for a free update of your data volume, hence the 30 GB (see it as a gift for a long time customer).

I am sorry to hear that the chosen number is the one you use less frequently but I hope you can enjoy it nonetheless. :)

Best regards,

Jan.
Hallo Jan thanks for this quick and thorough answer.

That is such a pity. The second number is on the number is being paid for but not in use for more than a year. (new salesman probably wont start til next year.)

' a gift for a long time customer' being given of an unused number of 2 contracted paid for numbers (must have been a coincidence, I hope)'

Please can you see about the possibility of transferring to the number I use daily.

Eagerly awaiting your reply...

Thanks in advance

Hi @dmac,

I am sorry to hear that the chosen number for the free upgrade is the one less convenient for you.

The process did not take into account how often a number is used, the numbers were chosen randomly, which is why it is a pack that cannot be transferred to a different number, I'm afraid.

Best regards,

Jan.
Jan thanks you have been very helpfull.

O2 Thumbs down for the metaphoric 'NEW CAR without a KEY' (more data volume on number that is not used)

I am going to post this nice gift from O2 to some my social media and Linked in company sites.

Jan have a great weekend.

O2, have a weekend.

What do you hope to gain from doing that?
Nothing just sharing my frustrastion..

Why do you ask?

(you seem very experienced in this forum)

regards

Dave
Honestly just interested, because it seems like an odd think to want to do in the circumstances, that's all. I understand your frustration of course, but to me it would appear no different than winning a year's supply of petrol in a prize draw when you don't own a car (or can't even drive), a lawnmower when you don't have a lawn, or - a box of meat from a butcher when you've just turned vegetarian. You know the Alanis Morissette song?

By the way, you have the key to the car, you just need to open the door and start the engine 😉
Hi Thanks for your interest and I love your sense of humour.. 🙂 :)

just to close off:- I have been using the other car and key for about 7 years and would be really awkward to have to have my longstanding customer base having to change the number.

As at the moment I havent a new salesman I will be terminating the Car with the key PLUS 🙂 as the 2 year comes up again for renewal in a couple of months and i cant continue throwing away that money, so not really a problem..

Now the humour:- I see a couple of fundamental flaws in your annalogies:-

1. A free years supply of petrol wouldnt normally be linked to a number plate and the chance of knowing seomeone that could use it are quite high, so sell on.

2. I could sell the lawnmower (or plat soem grass on my concrete tiles)

3. Alanis Morissette, sorry hate the music and Love my T-Bones

😎🙂

One thing for definate if I have any comments or questions surrounding my remaining 2 contracts with O2 I will sure to be back here to get good feedback (with a feel good factor.)

Regards

Dave
