I have cancelled my o2 contract via the o2 portal, it has asked me to confirm my cancellation by calling the following number: 08005900050. 

However, my mobile will not connect to this number. Is there any other way to verify my cancellation? As this is becoming incredibly aggravating.

Okay I need to write this letter to o2.



But I have a few questions:



1 What must I write/send in this letter?



2 What details must it contain to complete the cancellation?



2 Is it a problem if written in English?



3 How will I know my account has been terminated? As I no longer live at the same address and I see many o2 customers with the same problem.

you read from this customer who hav problems because nobody write when all is ok 😉



1. + 2a.: That can be a formelss letter wich included youre name, adress, youre custemnumber and what you want. If you want to cancel the contract befor ending they also need a official document that you leave germany, if you want to cancel the contract by contract term is ending the letter is enough.



2b:  That´s maybe no problem. I know that they have a english support.



3. Write in your letter either your new adress where they can sent the notice that your contract is canceld or give them a mail-adress where they can sent. If you leave germany the mail-adress is the favored way, in my opinion they sent no letter outside of germany.

Hi, I followed these instructions as requested but have recieved an email asking that I am still to be billed. I WANT TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT. How can I verify my cancellation? As I will not pay O2 for a service I have cancelled 2 months ago.

I can not check anything because you are not registered with your mobile number.



But as a regular information: when you cancel your contract it still runs until the normal runtime end. After that it will be deactivated. Also cancellations have to reach the company 3 months before that runtime end, otherwise it gets automatically extended for 12 months.
