Hello,

As I am leaving Germany in December to travel to South America for 3 months and then afterwards go directly back to my home country Denmark to live, I have sent a request to cancel my DSL and mobile phone contract by mail to O2. I received a letter today saying that it was possible to end my mobile phone contract, but the letter I received did not state anything about my DSL contract.

I was asked to send back a document from my future landlord or employer or a registration document from the country I am moving to. But as I am going to travel for 3 months I don't register in Denmark now and therefore, won't be able to send the required documents. Will a copy of my air plane tickets or a document from my travel insurance do as documentation?

Also, does the letter I received concern both my DSL and mobile phone contract even though it only mentiones my 'mobilfunknummer'?

All the best,

Daniel
Hello Daniel,

since the mobile and the DSL connection are twi different contracts you will recieve seperate information regarding each of them.

As far as I can see we sent you a letter as of today regarding the DSL contract, you should recieve it shortly.

Regards,

Lars

Hello Lars,

Thank you very much for the reply. It answers one of my two questions very well.

But I would still like to know if a copy of my air plane tickets or a document from my travel insurance can work as documentation for the fact that I am leaving the country.

Kind regards,

Daniel
Hello DanielVesterbaek,

the travel documents are not sufficient, we need a copy of the "Abmeldebescheinigung" (deregistration) from the Einwohnermeldeamt.

Kind regards,

Giulia
