Can't send SMS 5 66 56 to put credit on a prepaid phone

Hello,
My cousin has a prepaid phone which is blocked for past two days. I managed to organize his online account, I have received sms from O2 with the temporary password, however I can't send the SMS to 56656 to reload the credit which is now 0. The phone is abroad, the credit has not been reloaded at least 5 months.

Hello there!

Please use this "Usage" for the transfer:
prefix-therestofthenumer-code
In your case it should read:
0176-yournumberhere-5959

I replaced the number after the prefix with the text for privacy reasons 😉

    The card is blocked if the card has not been refilled for at least the last 6 months.
    Therefore, it is not possible to send an SMS to the 56656.

    The card can also be charged with a voucher code. Can you buy, for example, today at every gas station.

    I would need an online payment solution which I can do. Will the payment unblock the sim card or we need to do something else?

    An online payment (Banküberweisung) will unblock the card in 3 - 5 days.
