I have a handy mobile account with o2. I was supposed to be debited automatically 34.99 euros from my bank on 02.01.2017.
However, my bank changed IBAN numbers this month and I was unable to update this number before today so the debit was attempted from my old IBAN number and was rejected.
I have updated the new IBAN number online today, but payment still needs to be made. How can I go about doing this? Or now that I have updated the number, will another direct debit be attempted? I do not want to incur any late payment fees because of this. Any help is appreciated.

The "Verwendungszweck" is your customer number (Kundennummer). This is important!
Alternatively you can pay in an o2 shop.
Next month the invoice amount should be taken from your account automatically, but you should check that the correct IBAN is shown on the invoice. You won't pay any late fees if you pay immediately, but you will be see a charge of 4 Euros on your next invoice for the failed direct debit.
