Hi all,
is it possible to change the phone number for an Austrian phone number in my profile?
or it needs to be a German number necessarily?
thanks

Hi @martintaylor ,
welcome to the o2 community!
While you can technically put in any number you like, it is reasonable to put the (German) number into your profile that is connected to the contract you actually have with o2.
That way you are identified as the user of that number and we are able to look up the data concerning your contract when there are any problems or questions to be answered in this forum.
Best regards,
Jan.

Hi Jan,
thanks for your feedback. In the case my phone number is changed in my profile for a foreign phone number, can’t it be connected and considered as my “contracted” number so I can be identified through that new number? My problem is that I need my Austrian phone number for my work and the German number I have is only because of my o2 contract so it would be much easier to have my o2 profile connected to my Austrian number too. Is that possible? If so could you change it as I being offered the option only to change for a local number and not for a +43 number?
thanks in advance

Hi @martintaylor ,
if we're talking about the forum profile of this community it is best to keep your German phone number of the dsl contract you have with us in it, this way you are automatically identified and we have the opportunity to look into your contract in case something needs to be changed or explained.
In case you mean your general Mein o2 profile of your dsl contract, you can add a personal contact phone number in the personal data/contacts section (Persönliche Daten --> Kontaktdaten), like a number where you can be reached during daytime or a mobile phone number (like the Austrian number, for example).
Best regards,
Jan.
