Hi @User2610181123,

thanks for your message.

We already informed you that we need still the following documents from you:

  • a registration certificate of your place of residence in Germany
  • a notification of your new, foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months
Please send these documents by fax to 01805 571 766* or to the following address:
Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
Kundenbetreuung
90345 Nürnberg

As soon as we receive these documents from you, we will cancel your DSL-contract as soon as possible.

At the moment, your contract will be cancelled on 17th January 2020.

I hope I could help you with this information.

Loving greetings,
Tobias

I was told that this was a private forum. For an internet company who does not use email this is a very strange situation

This is not a private forum and Community Support is quite normal - especially for internet companies, but it is obviously not a suitable platform to submit private information or documents.

You have been informed what you need to provide to terminate your contract early:

  • a registration certificate of your place of residence in Germany
  • a notification of your new, foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months
  • a registration certificate of your place of residence in Germany
WE INFORMED THE RATHAUS IN SCHWANDORF AS REQUIRED BY LAW

You need to send the document to o2 so that they can see that you are no longer registered in Germany. Your legal requirement to deregister has nothing to do with this.

  • a notification of your new, foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
WE LIVE IN SLOVAKIA. YOU CANNOT HAVE MY ADDRESS FOR SECURITY REASONS. YOU HAVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE - THAT IS ENOUGH.

It is up to you whether you wish to provide this information. If you don't, then your contract will continue until the end of the agreed term (2020). Email address and telephone number are no proof that you live in Slovakia!

  • your approval for us to charge you the all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months
WE GAVE YOU 3 MONTHS NOTICE. ALREADY. WE HAVE ALREADY PAID THE all-inclusive basic fee for 3 months IN FULL.

As your contract has not yet been terminated you cannot have paid this amount yet.

Dear Sir or Madam,
As we are relocating our place of residence abroad, we hereby terminate the contractual relationship existing under the above mentioned customer and contract number on 31 August.
Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

How do I send this information privately? Customer Number, Contract number
Please confirm the receipt of this termination and the termination date of the contract in writing – in ENGLISH. No reply from you.

a registration certificate of your place of residence in Germany
WHAT IS THIS?

When you deregistered at the town hall you will have received a document confirming that you are no longer resident in Germany. This needs to be sent to o2 at the address in Nuremberg.

a notification of your new foreign domicile
WHAT KIND OF PROOF?

This can either be a regsitration of residence in Slovakia, a letter from your landlord, or some other document that proves you live in Slovakia.

3 months for the all-inclusive basic fee
WE HAVE ALREADY GIVEN NOTICE ON 26 JULY 2018
WE ARE NOT PREPARED TO PAY YOU 3 MONTHS EXTRA

You gave notice but didn't submit the required documents. As such you have not effectively terminated the contract yet. o2 might decide to waive the 3 months in your case, but that's a decsion for o2 to make once you have submitted the required documents. As of now your contract is still active.

If you want to terminate the contract early, you need to submit the required documents. The sooner you do this the sooner your contract will be terminated.

Will you pay for the fax or postage?
Why should I pay, if you refuse to give an email address?

YOU want something from o2 (early termination) therefore it is up to YOU to submit the documents and pay any costs involved in doing so. Nobody is refusing to give you an email address, the fact is that these documents have to be sent by post or fax. It is your choice whether you pay a small amount (probaby not even 1 Euro) for postage or continue to pay monthly for the contract you cannot use. I think it is obvious what the better option is and honestly don't understand why you are making things more difficult for yourself than they need to be.

OK I shall post the Abmelding document I received from the Schwandorf Rathaus, which confirms I left Germany. I hope that settles the matter, as I am not sending any more money to O2.

Don't forget you also need to send them proof of your new address abroad and your consent to be charged 3 months basic fee. It may be that this charge is waived if you have already paid for three months after you moved, but if you don't give your consent for this charge it might happen that o2 isn't able to process your request.

letter will be posted from Slovakia which is proof.
De-registration letter says the same. Enough proof!
I dont give consent as I have already paid 3 months extra.
You are legally obligated to give my contract in english, which was not given.
Stop behaving like the mafia

  • November 30, 2018
Funny. :)

Although you have been explained what you have to do you don't understand. I think you refuse to.

You are legally obligated to give my contract in english, which was not given.
No. You are totally wrong.

It's very hard to take you seriously any longer.

Can this thread be closed then? This discussion is clearly a complete waste of time. You obviously don't want to end your contract early if you refuse to follow the instructions and are now even inventing your own legal rules. You know what you have to do so either you do as requested or don't bother. It's your choice. EOD.
