On 25th Oct 2011, it took me half an hour to get an service executive to speak to me as they kept transfering the phone (4 times). Finally I told the executive I cannot hold any longer and she has to respond to my request. I requested for the following service.
1. I provided 2 telephones numbers for the global friends which I had subscribed long ago. The executive noted the phone numbers and informed that i will receive a sms with new proxy numbers that I should dial in future. I have not received it since almost a month.
2. I had requested for an english speaking service executive discuss trariff options. I have not heard from them until today after trying to contact them again. The executive when he calls me today tells me he will check why the global friends numbers are not activated and puts me on hold. After a few minutes of holding the line it gets transferred to another executive to whom I again explain the problem and then he transfers me again and am kept on hold endlessly.
I am extremly unhappy with the service being provided by O2 and if this does not change, I will have to change my service provider.

Also I forgot to mention, I tried to do the complaint online with the service ticket but the header (betreff) select funtion just does not work and so I cannot register my complaint there!!!

this is not nice. you can also check online in "Mein o2" the activation of your global friends option. If you don't find the way you can look to my pics.
There you can also activate the option now, if there are no numbers activated. Sometimes o2 don't send SMS for information - i think sometimes the system don't work correct.
If you have no chance to activate your numbers you should call to o2 again.

Thanks for your help and effort. I now have access to it.
But as I have already paid registration fee for this service, I want to be sure they dont charge me again while registering online else I will have to run behind them again to get back the registration fees.

You pay only one time the fee for activation.
If you activate this option now, you will see the price (5 €) at the end of order. When you don't see this price, the option is currently active and you can save until 5 numbers (maximum 2 of them could be mobile numbers).
If you want to change numbers, you can do it online one time per month per short dial for 1 €
If you want to change names online per short dial, this is everytime for free.
If you have further problems (also with your bill) please contact the customer service of o2 (i think Mo-Fr 9-18h you can reach customer service in english)
