Termination of contract

My apartment does not have a TAE Dose and the O2 shop assistant mentioned I should send a post to Hamburg to cancel the contract. I sent it on April 1 but haven't heard back yet, instead I received a message saying my account is activated from April 6. Please help - how do I proceed further to cancel the contract ?
