Hi. I bought a surfstick the other day and it worked perfectly fine. I topped it up today after the data ran out, and now it's not working properly. It says that I'm connected to the internet, and I see data packets being registered on the sent/received, but I can't connect to anything - pretty much every website or service times out because it takes too long, not even Google is working properly, it's like I'm getting my speed extremely strangled. I'm wasting data sitting here trying to get it to function. Any help?

What is your basic tariff? o2 loop or o2 go prepaid?

Yes I bought the SIM and surfstick together, I got it for connection whilst waiting for my home dsl to be installed. From my documents I believe I have o2 loop, when I went to buy a top up today I told the staff I wanted a top up for the surfstick internet, and it looks like that is also an o2 loop package, so it would seem all is in order.
If you have o2 Go Prepaid, you must book a data plan to use the internet.
if you have o2 Loop, the Surf Dayflat will booked automatically daily (0,99 Euro / 30 MB), if you enter the internet

You will see a circle (Verbrauchs-Check)
The circle is empty? (You will see no numbers inside the circle) Means, that no data plan is booked. Visit the following page and book a data plan: https://zero.o2online.de/surfmanager/tarifdetails
The circle is red and no data volumen is aviable? Your data volumen is exhaused and the speed is slow down. You should book another plan to speed up the connecttion (use the same link above). If you want to book the same data plan again, you should first cancel the data plan (click Abbestellen, next page select "Sofort") and book the same plan again.
If you have difficulty booking a data plan, please wait here for further assistance

- I cannot connect to this page, because the connection times out. It does say that I am connected and a small amount of data is being exchanged. Every page times out. I also cannot connect to the regular mein o2, it says 'kein zutritt zu diesem Bereich"

when did you bought the stick/SIM-card?
About 7 days ago?
Then mayby your welcomepackage "1 free week" has endet.
Unfortunatly you are not registred via your contract cell number, so i can not check what had happens right now.
